The Lowest Moment Is The Best Moment

In your lowest moment
at your hardest time
your spirit struggling
your will tested
you are being created

If you allow it
and open your heart
to the lesson
your true spirit will emerge
your soul will be
your guide in life
and you will find that God never left you
he was only gibing you a mirror
into your inner soul
to find how you will define your life
and whether your experiences will make
 or break you

The lesson in life is that
 God is always with you,
within you
in your heart
and in the way you express yourself

God is your soul

Your soul is part of God

Once you know this fully and completely
you can create the life you want
and handle any adversity

"All You Single Women Are Just BITTER!"

I have heard this statement from way too many people!  Whether it's the guy that is treating his woman badly and found out that she was getting advice from her single friend.  Or the unhappy woman that is tired of hearing the TRUTH from her unwed buddy.  Either way, I'm tired of hearing it!

Now, don't get me wrong there are some angry and scorned women who do not want to see anyone happy because they themselves are miserable.  And we all know the saying "misery loves company".  But sometimes (and in most instances) this is not case.  Me being someone who has given advice to a lot of my friends I know that depending on your current situation, it will determine HOW the information will come out.  If I'm in a relationship, and I am happy in my situation, the advice that I will give will more than likely be sugarcoated with a lot of "How do you feel?" questions.  But if I'm single and I don't have Cupid's arrow piercing my heart, my friends will hear more "How much are you willing to take?" questions.  This is due to the fact that when someone is in a relationship, floating on cloud 9, they know that oh so familiar feeling of not wanting to be shot down.  You tend to lose that discretion when you're single and the only person making you happy is yourself.  But that doesn't make a woman bitter, or mean that she is giving "selfish" advice.  It basically just changes the delivery and essentially hardens the blow.

Another issue, well more of a question I have is: If I do not want to participate in drowning myself with my tears while I listen to every "love lost" love song made, does that also make me bitter?  I mean, with me being freshly seperated I can say that I no longer want to be the woman that dwells on a broken heart, or almost gives herself a heart attack from thinking about all of the "what-ifs".  I would rather think about my future and learn from my past.  That doesn't mean that I'm not happy for the next person that's in a relationship.  I still love LOVE and wouldn't allow my past experiences to affect the help that I give to anyone in a difficult situation.

Whew! Glad I got that off of my chest.

Signed,

The Unscorned (and NOT bitter) heart

Life: Too Short To Take For Granted

Well, let's see. I haven't done any blogging in awhile, but I'm back!  The six month hiatus I took was not planned, more of a slip in routine.  Basically, I allowed my love for someone else take me away from ME.  I didn't see it happening and once I woke up and realized what was going on, it was almost too late.

So here I am, on the other side and I feel like I'm starting over.  And I mean completely over!  And it's mainly due to my most recent (and only) brush with death.

It started the evening of Tuesday January 17, 2012.  I started having abdominal pains which then turned into me being rushed to the hospital, losing 2.5 liters of blood, having emergency surgery and having two blood transfusions.  Yeah, a lot I know! With death knocking on my door and me pulling out of it I couldn't help but to realize that things needed to change.  I was able to pull myself out of a lot of situations that I found out were dysfunctional and unhealthy.  Friends became associates and a lover who was my everything became someone I had to learn to love from a distance.

All of these things may seem like a lot and just a really tragic story BUT actually I feel truly blessed!  I am still here for my son, I have another opportunity for greatness, and I just have a whole new outlook on life.  Sometimes while going through our day to day routine and facing adversity, we tend to lose sight of the bigger picture. And that is: Tomorrow is not promised to anyone!  So instead of complaining about what I don't have and what the next person did to me, I'm grateful for the moments I get to spend with my son and the times I'm able to give my friends advice and make a difference in their lives.

So now I'm back and I feel like I have some things that I can share.

So strap up and enjoy the ride!
